What challenges did your group face while selecting and analyzing sources, and how did you overcome them? Be specific about how your group communicated and worked through disagreements.

Prompt Response: A challenge we faced today is trying to find a quote that was related to our topic but when it is make sure it answers our topic question too and not pick a random quote.  Summary: Today we finished picking our 7 resources.  Reflection: We are going to use these same quotes and going to be able to put them into our essay.

Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

Prompt Response: One issue I find is the reflection part because I try not to sound repetitive in my work and trying to find different words can be a little hard.  Summary: Today we narrowed down half of our resources for our essay.  Reflection:  I will turn in my bibliography by tomorrow.

Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.

Prompt Response: The summary was more challenging because trying to know what to type about without reading the whole article to just take more time is a little difficult. Summary: Today we did our annotated bibliography for our plastic surgery essay. Reflection: I am going to finish my assignment will a lot of details.

What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

Prompt Response: Yes I was expecting to find different perspectives on my topic. Because plastic surgery is a thing that people either get to get lifts or just to upgrade themselves. And others get it because there may be flat parts or loose skin where they want it to be filled up. Summary: I am completing my 10 resources for my project.  Reflection:  I now know how to research properly without looking at the first thing and learned new information.

How was this different from how you have searched for information in the past? Explain how using specific search strategies and evaluating sources impacted the quality of what you found.

Prompt Response: It's different because I see different perspectives when it comes to other topics. I can search the history and why people actually get plastic surgery.  Summary: Today we did our 10 researches. Reflection: I am going to search very hard and find good articles.

Political cartoons often use exaggeration and symbolism to make a point, and they can also serve as important visual sources for analysis. What is being criticized in this image? What does this source suggest about the issue, and what does the cartoonist want the audience to question or reconsider?

Prompt Response: The artist is betraying what America has going on right now. They are trying to get the audience to understand the realistic image that's happening in the world without actually saying it. Summary: Today we read through a source paper learning how to skim and identify a reading without taking the time to read the whole passage. Reflection: I am going to do very good on the assignment next week.

Think about how you have searched for information in the past compared to what you practiced today. How is creating specific search phrases different from just “Googling” a topic? Explain how this strategy will improve the quality of your research.

Prompt Response: It's different from just googling a topic because I go deeper into the topic search instead of seeing the highlighted answer because sometimes that answer is not always the best one to choose because it may not have a lot of information. Summary: Today we did a Common Lit. Reflection: I am all caught up with my assignments.
