Reflect on a time when you paused to appreciate the beauty of nature, much like the speaker in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Where were you, what did you notice, and how did that moment of stillness make you feel or change your perspective?

  Prompt Response: When I was in Girl Scouts I went camping and when we was doing the archery it was fun and made me realize that we don't need cellphones all the time. Summary: We annotated another Robert Frost and starting on a one-pager for another poem and annotated that poem too. Reflection: It's a fun activity that we get to do because we are just not writing another poem we are finding key targets by ourselves and get to decorate the paper based on what our poem is about.

Describe a time when you had to set or respect a boundary with a friend, family member, or classmate. How did it help or hurt your connection with that person?

  Prompt Response: I had to set boundaries with certain people depending on my relationship and it mostly hurt the connection because they didn't understand how it felt until it was done to them but made it seem like I was just being jealous when that wasn't the case.  Summary: Today I read a poem on Common Lit called the "Mending Wall", and it shows the boundaries and it doesn't just show a boundary with people it can be with everything.  Reflection: Maturing is realizing that you need to always set boundaries for your life and make sure that it doesn't make you feel type of way and make sure it actually makes sense for a person to understand.

Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

  Prompt Response: A time that changed my life is when I first moved to GA I was coming from NY and I never knew why we had to move I was still young and didn't know how to react because I was at a young age.   Summary: Today we read 2 poems by Robert Frost and had to deflect it without using any internet just based on our normal knowledge.  Reflection: Using my mind to try to figure out definitions based on context clues is another way of showing that you don't need to search everything up.

As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your favorite word and how often do you use it?

  Prompt Response: My favorite word right now mad because everyday I be mad about things and it's just one thing that I love to say. Summary: Today I finished my PowerPoint of Birches and I completed all my work for the class. Reflection: It's very cute to see pictures of me when I was younger and I looked very adorable.

How does imagination help you cope with challenges, boredom, or stress?

  Prompt Response: It makes me think more positive in what I'm actually here for and what my purpose is I can go back through memories and laugh and have a good mindset.  Summary: We read a poem that talks about childhood and how you can always restart your life besides dying.  Reflection: Today looking at my baby pictures made me miss my childhood and how I used to live.

What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

  Prompt Response: A risky situation is when I'm doing a stunt and I have to hold the flyer in the air I can hurt her and that can go bad for me and her and I had concentrate very hard to know what I was doing. Summary: Today we analyze and annotate a poem and there was a very deep meaning behind it you realize that you only have one life and in the quick second it can be gone just like that so make sure you live it to the fullest. Reflection: It good to know that no matter what type of poem, it can be sad, funny, silly, inspiring that there could be either a good meaning, inspiring meaning, or a bad meaning behind it.

What I did over fall break.

  Prompt Response: I had cheer practice and was rested but also got sick.  Summary: We are doing a comic strip with 15 new words in the vocabulary text book that creates a good story plot. Reflection: It's cool to see that you can turn basic words into a story line and image it out.

How do you find time to enjoy your day, even when you have a lot going on? Write about at least three specific things you do to enjoy small moments throughout your day.

  Prompt Response: In my day I enjoy playing me game Color by Number because I do daily pictures on there to clear my mind, then I do Duolingo to better my Spanish and to take up my free time. I also learn new cheers or dances to send for my cheer team to learn. Summary: Today I have finished my first paragraph for the story Ambush.  Reflection: The paragraph looks good knowing that I actually read the text, followed the rubric, and to ask the teacher is there things that I could work on or just to make sure that is goes right with the story.

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

  Prompt Response: My competition coach has inspired me in many ways to get me to the cheerleader I am now. She always had a one-on-one talk most of the time when I have my moments I feel like I can't do something and when I feel down on myself her words always have a way to come back to me because she relates to me and she's a mom also.  Summary: Today we did the explanation of the the text Ambush and how you don't need to fully analyze from the text but just to make sure that it equals to the claim.  Reflection: I have learned how to correctly talk in my argument writings and to not sound like I'm talking about to influence the reader about if my claim is agreeable or not.

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

  Prompt Response: A time I had to step out of my comfort zone is when I first started tumbling, I never did any of the new skills before and doing it now has made me succeed more in my sport. Summary: We read a story about a woman killing someone from a grenade and they described what happened.  Reflection: We wrote claims to an opinion to see if killing someone is a good or bad thing so it would be a good thing to me because in a lot of cases it would be called self defense.

Write about a dream that felt real.

  Prompt Response: The one that felt real is when this man was chasing me and when he got me I woke up very scared.  Summary:  We learned 15 vocabulary words with the definitions and sentences. Reflection: It’s nice to see different words that have the same meaning to other english words that we use daily.

Write about the best gift you have received.

  Prompt Response: The best gift I have received is my little nephew and his name is Messiah because I was at a dark place at the time before his was born, and since I was the youngest I really did not have anyone to enjoy my time with it be with but ever since I seen him a lot and he made me really happy in a lot of ways.  Summary: Today we learned about formal and informal language and when and how it's supposed to be used in a essay or conversation with a friend. Reflection: The lesson today made me realize that in a lot of my essays or assignments I have used informal language and I think doing this lesson will help me get better grades on my essays and assignments because I can start doing formal language.
