Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

Prompt Response: Something my mom told me to never do is to go outside when it's dark and to never open the door for somebody unless I know it's a family member because she will tell me if someone I personally know was coming. Summary: We learned about a new author James Baldwin and the read about the Rock pile and it's telling how your parents tell you not to go or do something because it could be dangerous and it could have happened to them when they was younger. Reflection: It was important to see the offenders in the area to see what is going on and to be aware of what's going on in your neigborhood.

Write about an adventure you would like to go on.

Prompt Response:  An adventure I would like to go on is a trip to cold land or a place that has nature and waterfall. Because I see that those are the places that people really find their peace in or find themselves as a person because there are times where I can't take much and I don't want to be bothered with so a place like that I would really enjoy. Summary:  We learned about Emily Dickinson and the way she writes her poems. To other people they seem very dark or have that type of feeling, but they still read it to find like a message or hidden thing that can maybe teach them. Reflection:  I was asked "Who am I?" and it made me wonder who I am to myself and to others but had to focus on what I mean to myself.

Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier?

Prompt Response: When I see that issues are starting to happen I try to get away from it because I have enough going on and I don't want any more stuff going on. Summary: Today we read The Life You Save May Be Your Own and a man do what typical men do they use women to get the things they want and left the daughter at a diner. Reflection: The daughter was deaf and I don't think he should have done it he could've just dealt with his poor life instead of using people for advantage.
