reflecting on how the masks in the film represent the pressure to fit in and the struggle to discover who you really are. Choose one moment from the film that stood out to you and explain why. Then, connect the film’s message to Langston Hughes’ poem “I, Too” and to the mask you are creating in class. What part of your identity do you want your mask to reveal?

Prompt Response: It shows that you don't to look or be like anybody else or else you can make yourself very unhappy, a moment where I relate to this is during middle school, I didn't know much because I just moved to that school and I was 12 so I was still finding what I liked I was so busy trying to keep up with others I wasn't looking at myself and now people like me for who I actually am. Summary: We watched a video based on the poem 'I Too' by Langston Hughs. Reflection: I think it's important for people to know who they are I feel like the world will be very more positive and different if everybody is not trying to be like the next person.

Write about an adventure you would like to go on.

Prompt Response:  An adventure I would like to go on is a trip to cold land or a place that has nature and waterfall. Because I see that those are the places that people really find their peace in or find themselves as a person because there are times where I can't take much and I don't want to be bothered with so a place like that I would really enjoy. Summary:  We learned about Emily Dickinson and the way she writes her poems. To other people they seem very dark or have that type of feeling, but they still read it to find like a message or hidden thing that can maybe teach them. Reflection:  I was asked "Who am I?" and it made me wonder who I am to myself and to others but had to focus on what I mean to myself.

Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier?

Prompt Response: When I see that issues are starting to happen I try to get away from it because I have enough going on and I don't want any more stuff going on. Summary: Today we read The Life You Save May Be Your Own and a man do what typical men do they use women to get the things they want and left the daughter at a diner. Reflection: The daughter was deaf and I don't think he should have done it he could've just dealt with his poor life instead of using people for advantage.
