Based on the first 40 minutes of the film and Chapters 1–11 of the book, does the visual version of Chris’s journey make his choices seem more justified or more reckless than the text does? Explain how the medium (film vs writing) shapes your perspective.

Prompt Response: The movie made Chris decisions more justified to where readers and myself can understand what had happen for him to start on the journey. The text just made it seem like he ran away without any context.Summary: Today we watched the first 40 minutes of the movie 'Into the Wild'. Reflection: The movie made me realize that us kids have gone through what happened to Chris because he was living with unfair parents who didn't care about how him and his sister felt.

Write about an adventure you would like to go on.

Prompt Response:  An adventure I would like to go on is a trip to cold land or a place that has nature and waterfall. Because I see that those are the places that people really find their peace in or find themselves as a person because there are times where I can't take much and I don't want to be bothered with so a place like that I would really enjoy. Summary:  We learned about Emily Dickinson and the way she writes her poems. To other people they seem very dark or have that type of feeling, but they still read it to find like a message or hidden thing that can maybe teach them. Reflection:  I was asked "Who am I?" and it made me wonder who I am to myself and to others but had to focus on what I mean to myself.

Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier?

Prompt Response: When I see that issues are starting to happen I try to get away from it because I have enough going on and I don't want any more stuff going on. Summary: Today we read The Life You Save May Be Your Own and a man do what typical men do they use women to get the things they want and left the daughter at a diner. Reflection: The daughter was deaf and I don't think he should have done it he could've just dealt with his poor life instead of using people for advantage.
