Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

Prompt Response: One issue I find is the reflection part because I try not to sound repetitive in my work and trying to find different words can be a little hard.  Summary: Today we narrowed down half of our resources for our essay.  Reflection:  I will turn in my bibliography by tomorrow.

Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.

Prompt Response: The summary was more challenging because trying to know what to type about without reading the whole article to just take more time is a little difficult. Reflection: I am going to do very good on the assignment next week.

Think about how you have searched for information in the past compared to what you practiced today. How is creating specific search phrases different from just “Googling” a topic? Explain how this strategy will improve the quality of your research.

Prompt Response: It's different from just googling a topic because I go deeper into the topic search instead of seeing the highlighted answer because sometimes that answer is not always the best one to choose because it may not have a lot of information. Summary: Today we did a Common Lit. Reflection: I am all caught up with my assignments.

What makes this topic difficult to answer or solve? Identify at least two different perspectives or factors related to your topic and explain why understanding multiple viewpoints is important.

Prompt Response: This topic can be difficult to solve because it's only but so much to know about plastic surgery. All you can think about the patient health. I can see if the person got it because they may have access skin for when they lose weight. Reflection: I now know how to research without Google.

Prompt Response: His independence was very determined about what he did. He didn't care what others thought. Comparing this to myself is showing that I could never have the same independence that he did so I wouldn't have to depend on others. Summary: Today we read thru the rest of the book. Reflection: The actual reason of how he died was something that I wasn't expecting.

How does watching the film version of Into the Wild change or deepen your understanding of Chris McCandless compared to reading the book?

Prompt Response: It helps me understand his story more and what he went through for him to make this decision. One key thing that I found in the film is the family issues. I think a lot of people run away because of that reason because it's too much to take sometimes. Summary: Discussion questions 1-3 about the film being compared to the book. Reflection: I think the book has a deeper tone and meaning than the movie.

Prompt Response: The movie made Chris decisions more justified to where readers and myself can understand what had happen for him to start on the journey. The text just made it seem like he ran away without any context. But it doesn't define what you do in the future. Most people don't want to continue with education after High School because it's not something they're interested in or just don't want to do any work and do real life American things. Summary: Today we answered classmates questions, two assignments on the book, and read chapter 9-10. Reflection: I finished my two assignments and the reading.

Chris chooses independence over relationships. When have you chosen to be on your own instead of relying on others? What happened, and would you make the same choice again?
