If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

  Prompt Response: It would be about how I overcame challenges in my life. How I dealt with absences from people who should’ve been there for me. I have improved in my sport to where I want to be in the future. And who helped me to become the person I want to become and still want to become. Summary: Today it was a pep rally for students and teachers. Reflection: The rally was very fun and interesting.

Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

Prompt Response: I image it in my head first and once I get my poster or paper I brainstorm on how I want to present it and have different angles to make sure everything look equal. Summary: We did vocabulary and short responses on a reading. Reflection: I will study these words so I can pass my test the next time we take one.

After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why?

Prompt Response: I find antithesis more compelling because It's really easy for me to remember since it's the opposite of everything and I find it very easy to do it in a sentence especially when your doing a story. Summary: Today we took the rhetorical device quiz. Reflection: In these 2 weeks I have learned about more devices that I didn't know exist. I also confused them with literacy devices so it was nice to know the difference of these devices and knowing how to use them in the future.

Choose a vocabulary word that resonates with you personally. Write a blog post explaining why this word is significant to you, including any personal memories or experiences that link you to the word.

  Prompt Response: Livid. I relate to that word  a lot because that is mostly my emotions about certain situations. Summary: Today we did vocabulary sentences, and exercises based on those words. Reflection: The words today were very relevant to the things we do today.

Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

  Prompt Response: When I first moved to GA from NY it was a big change and I didn't feel at place because I was also young so I was developing different things at a young age. Summary: Today we did rhetorical  devices based on the MLK "I Have a Dream" speech. Reflection: It was a very important speech to do knowing what day is coming up today. I think we should all read the speech and find it important to others.

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

  Prompt Response:  I have learned more things that are world related. Paying attention to more things so I can be great in life. They have taught me how to grow in other areas to protect myself.  Summary:  We learned more rhetorical devices.   Reflection: I have a better understanding with some of the devices that I was first confused on.

Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

  Prompt Response: I took a break from my competition  team for a year because it was taking a toll on me and I was getting really tired and I didn’t like the team from the year before so I just chose not to do it again on top of sideline cheer. Summary:  Today we learned more rhetorical devices. Reflection: The ones we learned today were really easy and didn’t know that I used them everyday.

Use a hyperbole, an understatement, and a litotes to describe today's lesson.

  Prompt Response:  Hyperbole:  The lesson was so hard I felt like my head was going to explode.  Understatement: The writing was so much I didn’t have much space left. Litotes: The lesson was a way to understand rhetorical devices Summary: Today we learned more devices to put in our future assignments and ways to use saying without an exact meaning. Reflection: This is a good thing for essays so when we write different or same subjects you won’t have to keep repeating the same thing to prove your point.

In 2–3 well-developed sentences, reflect on how you spent your Holiday Break. Then, identify four personal you would like to achieve this year and briefly explain why each goal is important to you

  Prompt Response: I spent my holiday break by spending time with family and practice with my other team. Each of those 4 goals represent who I want to become. And to also make sure I have something set straight for myself with no distractions. Summary: Today we each wrote 4 goals that we want to achieve in the future for the new year. Reflection: I will achieve these goals and have a big future coming up for myself.
